Whitening/Brightening Post!

Welcome to my (semi) Product Heavy Post!

I personally prefer and don't mind maintaining light skin as I feel I look better this way. And why did I include the two words whitening and brightening? They're two different things to me. I feel that whitening is a more obvious color change than brightening, which simply livens up the complexion.

I wanted to share some products with you that I've tried and love! The pictures included are the products I currently have. I feel that sharing photos I took makes it more personal!

1) Soaps:

Block and White Milk Protein: contains "active whitening complex,"(whatever that means) , vitamins C and E, as well as alpha arbutin (my favorite whitening ingredient)for instant whitening gratification! Titanium dioxide is also included for UV protection! What I especially love is that I can dedicate a bar for my face and it doesn't dry it out or irritate my poor sensitive skin— a problem I've had with pretty much every other whitening soap (unless it was goat milk). Hurray!

Annnnd, I have found the whitening effect to be more obvious than Likas! To think I used that for all these years breaks my heart a little. I hate that finding the right soap product is through experimenting... Even with the reviews I read, everyone's skin is different, so I just have to see for myself.

Canus Goat Milk Soap Original Version (not pictured)

I randomly purchased this at Sprouts one day after reading the ingredients! They were all natural and I already knew for a fact that goat milk has brightening properties. This original version was great for my face aside from my body. The scent, however, was a bit off putting at first (think old lady and dead roses haha), but if you can overlook that minor detail, you'll love this stuff! I'd also like to point out this product focuses more on brightening and evening skin tone.

Moving on!

Placenta Soap: Placenta has been known to keep the skin youthful, soft and rosy... like a baby's! Glycerin is also found in the product for moisturizing purposes. As for whitening? I can see that it works, but you have to keep at it for results.

2) Face

Himalaya Fairness Face Pack

An insta-whiten/brightening face pack at a cheap price! I simply leave this on for fifteen minutes (or until dry) and voila! My skin looks and feels prettier.

Himalaya Fairness Cream
I use this on my face every morning and night and I use it on my body when I see fit. Again, an instant glow to my sometimes lackluster skin keeps me happy!

Himalaya Under Eye Brightener
The under eye cream that brightens and softens the delicate eye area! My dark circles have been reduced greatly!
