I just have to talk about Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit! This kit came out this February, and it has been highly raved about in beauty blogs and videos. I love highlighting and contouring, so I just had to get my hands on this!

With ABH, the formulas are both creamy and pigmented! I have the kit in Light, and I only use three shades in this palette: banana (top left), cream (bottom left), and cinnamon (bottom right).

1. After applying a light layer of foundation and concealing my under eye circles, I take banana under my eye, my nose bridge, and chin.
2. I use "cream" as a transition color in between my contour and highlight on my cheekbones and jawline.
3. After that, I use cinnamon and draw on my temples, sides of my nose, hollows of my cheeks, and jaw line.
4. After placing all my colors, I take my damp 100% Pure Makeup Blender and pat everything in place!
5. I set the highlighted areas with ABH's Contour Refill Powder in Banana (used with Real Techniques Setting Brush) and the contoured areas with NYX Blush in True Taupe (Bronzing Brush)

Hey guys! Always wanted to give contouring a shot to slim down your nose/face, or highlight your natural beauty, but don't know which products to get? Look no further! Today I wanted to shed light on some cream-based contouring products. You might be familiar with the powder formulas, but I highly recommend cream-based products. They are easier to blend and look more natural.

Mac Sculpting Cream

1) accentuate - to highlight features you want to accentuate, 2) copper beech - warmer hue to contour features you want to hide, 3) coffee walnut - cooler hue to contour features you want to hide

MAC Sculpting creams are unique because they start off as a cream and finish as a powder. The product starts out as sheer but you can build opacity.

Nose Contouring

So I finally got around to contouring my nose and I'm really pleased with the results!

I used NYX eyebrow cake powder because it was matte and it worked out great! Just remember to blend so that it looks natural. I started on each side of my nose and worked my way up to just below where the bottom of my eyes are. I felt that if you shaded in too much it'd look strange.

Afterwards, I took my concealer from Hard Candy Glamoflauge in "Light" and highlighted my nose and set the highlighted part with my Maybelline powder in ivory. Make sure you blend the highlighted part before setting it, otherwise it'll be harder to blend when your powder's already on.

While I am still a rookie at it, I intend to buy proper fluffy blending brushes and possibly a cream highlighter. I'm think Benefit's "High Beam."
