Favorite DIY Homemade Facial Masks

What better way to pamper yourself with everyday products than making a trip to the department store!

1) Morning Coffee Mask

This is perfect for brightening a dull complexion and waking up your skin!

You will need:
a) 2 tbsp coffee grounds (instant coffee works too). This stimulates blood circulation, freshening your appearance and making you look more awake!
b) 1 tbsp milk (whole milk is recommended as it contains more lactic acid and will be more effective). Lactic acid kills microorganisms on your skin surface while brightening the skin.
c) 2-3 tbsp honey. Honey also kills bacteria, and provides a nice natural glow. Its consistency will make the mixture pasty, so that it can stick onto your skin better.

Mix ingredients in a bowl until a syrup consistency is formed, and then apply!
Coffee ground ingredient can be harsh so apply mixture on face and neck gently and evenly. Wait for 10-15 minutes and rinse!

2) Milk and Honey Mask

The perfect milk and honey combination will leave your skin feeling lighter, softer, and more supple.

You will need:
a) 1 tbsp milk
b) 2-3 tbsp honey

Mix together, apply on face for 10 min, rinse with warm water, and then cold water to close your pores. (Key tip: add in some dried oatmeal to exfoliate dead skin cells!)

3) Rice Water Mask

Brightens complexion! Use as often as possible for best results.

a) Take a couple heaping tbsp of rice and place in a bowl. After, fill it with water and start mixing it around to make the water cloudy. For more effective results, heat the water so that the rice enzymes react with the water more. Apply on face with a cotton ball, leave on for 10 min, and rinse!

4) Olive Oil

Hydrates skin wonderfully!

Extra virgin olive oil is the most pure and will do the job right. Apply with a cotton ball and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

Key Tips!

Keeping products in the fridge keeps them fresher and feels better on skin upon application.

When first rinsing, use warm water to open pores and splash cold water to seal pores.
