3/9 Update and I Perfected My Makeup Application!

I have to say that this weekend was more well-rounded than usual! I got to play some tennis this weekend, hang out with friends, and even watched the new movie Unfinished Business. The movie wasn't as funny as it looked in the trailers, but it still gave me and Sky a good laugh. Back to reality tomorrow with school, but it actually goes by pretty fast as long as I keep busy! After that, I can't wait for the weekend!

3/12- One year anniversary

Also, can I just say how much I loved my make up today? I really loved how flawless it looked. I made some tweaks in my skincare and makeup application process and it made a biiiiiig difference.

As I was saying, I love how flawless an airbrushed my makeup looked today. I found myself researching skincare and makeup as usual and read that I was doing my whole skincare WRONG!? By wrong, I mean that I wasn't letting my serum set in completely before applying my moisturizer, and I wasn't letting my moisturizer set in before applying my makeup. A big no no. I realized that this explains why my makeup would apply patchy and keep sliding around.

I want to put the spotlight on my under eye concealer, which looked especially smooth, and I owe it all to my ELF stipple brush! It's been locked away in my drawer for some time because I tried using it before, but didn't have any success with it. I guess i was using it incorrectly buy trying to blend out my foundation with it. However, I read that this can make your foundation appear more sheer, which isn't what I want with my Tarte foundation. For me, a flat tapered foundation brush works best with Tarte. After watching some YouTube videos last night on how other people apply concealer, I saw that people were using a stipple brush, and I decided to try it out on myself. After applying an even first layer of concealer under my eyes, I let it sit for a minute while highlighting the rest of my face with that same concealer before using the stipple brush to blend. Repeating the same process, I used my Tarte concealer and let that sit for a min while I went on to highlight the rest of my face. Then the rest of my face was business as usual.

The lashes I wore today were Ardell Glamour 113, which are different from the Ardell 206 I've been wearing all weekend. I found that 113 is more suited for every day wear while still making my eyes look, well, glamourous. It also doesn't interfere with my precious eyelid space!

With the 206, I find the band to be more stiff, which makes the lashes wilt over the course of the day. I'm wondering if 206 was the same lashes I bought in the beginning that i thought I was so in love with, but I could be mixing the style numbers up? Will have to double check at Ulta and make sure because 206 seems different...

Whenever I'm indoors, I like to sleep with my hair in either pig tails or a bun because it keeps my hair tame overnight. :3

Notes To Self:

Favorite Ardell double up (Ulta)
